How Metoprolol Succinate Prolonged Release 50mg & Amlodipine 25mg Tablets IP Works

This combination uses two distinct pathways to relax the cardiovascular system: Metoprolol Succinate (The Heart Controller): It is a cardioselective beta-blocker that slows the heart rate and reduces the force of heart contractions by blocking adrenaline. The "Prolonged Release" ensures this effect lasts for 24 hours. Amlodipine (The Vessel Relaxer): It is a Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB) that prevents calcium from entering the muscle cells of the blood vessels. This causes the blood vessels to relax and widen (vasodilation), allowing blood to flow more easily.
